Purchased this tool to remove the lower steering ball joint on a LR Disco 2. Official landrover tool and Sykes Pickavent were many hundreds of pounds and honestly, its not a job I want to do again so it's not worth it to pay that out!. However, this tool made removing them possible - in fact easy. I had been struggling with other ball joint separators but this is made for the job. One provisio - you do need to remove the upper ball joint first otherwise you cannot align the tool - but its probably a good idea to do both at the same time anyway.
For the price, this tool is totally worth it and now I feel any ball joint is within reach :-)

Very happy. Used this to shift the big steering knuckle balljoints on my P38 Range Rover - probably original, 20 years old, and very 'crusty'. I did wonder if they'd come out at all.I had to use a bit of force, but eventually they came out, so it did what I needed. I think it could do with a few more cups and attachments, but I can buy those separately. Overall very pleased with this.
