Are Bush Cables illegal?
We contacted the UK West Midlands Police in an effort to clarify this.
The response we got was this:
"Thank you for your email, as you mentioned there is no specific regulation regarding bushcables, but it is not advised that they are used on public highways."
It's simple. The police do not advise you to have bushcables fitted when using the highway.
However are they 'illegal' ? the answer is no, they are not illegal.
Our premium Stainless Steel bushcables are fully removable, we also stock quick 'tie backs' and 'quick release carbines' to relocate or remove your bushcable sets.
We would recomend that in urban environments that your cables be removed or tied back and only bought back into play when you need them to protect your windscreen from overgrown foliage.
