This dual input charger from Australian power management specialists, REDARC, combines DC-DC charging and solar charging for your 12V leisure battery into one rugged, compact unit. Featuring REDARC's next generation of in-vehicle charging technology, it is the most advanced dual battery charger on the the market and has been designed to withstand the harsh environment of the Australian outback. Suitable for use with standard or 'smart' Euro 5 / 6 / 6+ alternators, the BCDC1240D combines a 40A DC-DC (battery-to-battery) charger together with a 600W MPPT solar charge controller, giving you the ability to charge either from your alternator, your solar panels, or both. Functional Features:

After the engine stalls, the left House battery discharges to the upper left load device, and the VSR disconnects when the battery voltage drops below 12.8V. The Start Battery on the right will not discharge to the device. When the battery on your left is not charging, it is used up. At least there is a little battery on the right that allows you to start the engine.
